Approach

How I work with students

I've spent my academic career learning how to break down complex problems, whether that's a tricky algebra equation or a five-page analytical essay. I bring the same structured thinking to tutoring: meet students where they are, identify the gaps, and build from there.

01

Diagnostic first

Every engagement starts with understanding where a student actually stands, not where they think they stand. I identify specific gaps in knowledge and build a plan around closing them efficiently.

02

Teach the thinking, not the trick

Memorizing shortcuts gets you through one test. Understanding the underlying logic gets you through every test. I emphasize intuition and first-principles reasoning so the material actually sticks.

03

Real accountability

I provide focused practice between sessions and keep track of progress so students can see how far they've come. Every session has a clear purpose, and I make sure we're always moving forward.

What Others Say

"Chris helped me develop a much stronger analytical framework early on. He pushed me to think more critically, tighten up my writing, and approach problems with more structure. That foundation made a real difference when I started interviewing for internships. I ended up landing a role at a private equity firm and will be interning this summer as an investment banking summer analyst at another firm."
Hossam E., College Student
"I asked Chris for help putting together my resume and he completely reworked how I was presenting myself. He's very sharp about what actually matters on paper and what doesn't. The final product was clean, specific, and way more effective. Started getting callbacks almost immediately after and ended up landing an entry-level software engineering role."
Abel C., College Student
